Attending the event were Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Bui Hoang Phuong; global and regional Qualcomm leaders; representatives from the US Embassy in Vietnam; and representatives from many domestic and international technology agencies and businesses.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong said that Vietnam has many favorable conditions for developing high technology and semiconductor industry, such as a stable political and social environment, a strategic position in the global supply chain, and a young, abundant, and dynamic STEM workforce.

Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Bui Hoang Phuong acknowledged Qualcomm's practical contributions to Vietnam over the past years.
According to the Deputy Minister, Qualcomm's R&D center in Hanoi is a strategic milestone, demonstrating the corporation's long-term commitment to research and development of technology in Vietnam.
Besides investing in technology, Qualcomm also participates in human resource training, contributing to promoting the innovation ecosystem in the country.

Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Bui Hoang Phuong and other delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate Qualcomm's R&D Center.
The Deputy Minister also acknowledged Qualcomm's outstanding collaborations in recent times in the fields of 5G, AI, Open RAN, supporting technology startups, and connecting with universities and research institutes. He also affirmed that the Ministry of Science and Technology will continue to support US technology companies in effectively implementing preferential policies and investing in high-tech in Vietnam.
