Attending the opening ceremony, the delegation of Lao Cai province included comrades: Nguyen Trong Hai, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Thanh Sinh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Duong Duc Huy, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; and leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches.
The Vietnamese business delegation participated in 130 booths with nearly 70 enterprises, of which Lao Cai province had 38 booths with 20 participating enterprises. The displayed products include: Seafood, cashew nuts, pepper, coffee, dragon fruit, cassava slices, products processed from Ben Tre coconut, shoes, perfume, wooden furniture, cinnamon, rice... Lao Cai province has typical COCOP products such as: Cinnamon, artichoke extract, Muong Khuong chili sauce, Seng cu rice... introduced and promoted to the people of Yunnan province (China) and international tourists.
At the fair, Lao Cai province also has a common booth to introduce, promote and display publications and products introducing the image of Lao Cai province, the potential strengths of trade and tourism of the province to Chinese and international tourists; introducing documents: Lao Cai - connecting and developing, promoting trade of Lao Cai province, tourism of Lao Cai province, products and services of enterprises, and fields attracting investment in the province.
Also within the framework of the fair, the Lao Cai delegation will attend the Yunnan International Friendship Cities Cooperation Week; meet with Yunnan provincial leaders, introduce the potential and strengths of Lao Cai province; participate in the signing ceremony of a cooperation document between the Department of Industry and Trade of Lao Cai province and the Department of Commerce of Yunnan province.
In addition, the Lao Cai Provincial Delegation will also survey a number of economic and cultural development locations in Yunnan Province.
Through the fair, it contributes to concretizing the cooperation agreements between Lao Cai province (Vietnam) and Yunnan province (China); promoting trade and tourism promotion exchanges; effectively linking the province's trade and tourism promotion activities at regional and international events. This is also an opportunity for Lao Cai to introduce its potential and advantages in trade, tourism and services; supporting the province's trade and tourism enterprises to participate in activities at the fair, contributing to creating conditions for market expansion, connecting exchanges, meetings, finding partners, promoting trade and boosting product consumption.
