In the festive atmosphere of welcoming the New Year, the People's Committee of Thach Khe commune organized a Spring Fair to create a space for people to visit, shop, and experience, while also promoting agricultural products and local specialties. Not only does it enrich the cultural life during Tet, but the fair also serves as an effective channel connecting producers and consumers, helping OCOP products access the market, increasing their reach and brand value during the peak consumption season at the end of the year.

Hoang Gia Lan fish sauce was introduced at the Spring Market in Thach Khe commune.

Participating in the exhibition and product presentation at the fair, Mr. Nguyen Van Gia – Director of Hoang Gia Lan Cooperative (Nam Hai village) said: “Our two products, squid patties and Hoang Gia Lan fish sauce, which have achieved OCOP 3-star certification, have become familiar to consumers thanks to their stable quality and established brand. Besides promoting them on digital platforms, retail stores, and distribution channels in many provinces, participating in the booth at the commune's Spring market is especially meaningful. Although direct sales are not large, this is an opportunity for our products to get closer to consumers, build trust, expand our customer base, and affirm the position of local OCOP products in the Tet market.”

The stalls displaying local specialties in Toan Luu commune attracted many visitors and shoppers.

In Toan Luu commune, the flower, ornamental plant, and typical agricultural and rural product market attracted hundreds of locals and tourists. Toan Luu is not only famous for its chrysanthemums and peach blossoms, but also for its clean, OCOP (One Commune One Product) agricultural products such as Thanh Duan pork sausage and Khe Giao Ngoc Son oranges. The market, featuring over 10 stalls selling typical agricultural and rural products directly produced by the local people, is expected to last until February 17th. The market space offers a diverse range of goods, meeting the needs of people for shopping, admiring flowers and ornamental plants, and choosing local specialties during the Spring season. It also encourages producers to invest in improving the quality and design of their products.

OCOP products and typical agricultural products are getting closer to consumers through markets.

Not only local authorities, but also many businesses in Ha Tinh province are actively contributing to bringing OCOP products and rural agricultural products closer to people and tourists. A prime example is the "Traditional Tet" space organized at the Binh Minh Hotel courtyard (Thanh Sen ward) – a place that brings together, displays, and introduces many products bearing the Ha Tinh brand in a culturally rich and traditional setting, creating a highlight that attracts a large number of people to visit and experience.

Sharing her thoughts on the organization, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Nga – General Director of Phu Tai Duc Group Joint Stock Company – said: “Through the stalls at the Spring Market, we hope to recreate memories of Tet (Lunar New Year) of the past, while creating a meaningful cultural and shopping destination for people. Based on that, the company has proactively connected with OCOP (One Commune One Product) organizations and reputable production units in the area to introduce agricultural products that are characteristic, guaranteed in quality, and have clear origins. Even in the first few days of the event, many stalls have seen a significant increase in sales, demonstrating the interest and support of consumers for local products.”

Along with promotional activities within the province, more than 30 businesses, cooperatives, and production facilities from Ha Tinh are participating in the Spring Fair 2026, taking place in Hanoi from February 2nd to 13th, showcasing approximately 100 typical products. This is an opportunity for OCOP products and traditional local specialties to access a larger market, gradually affirming their position and expanding distribution channels outside the province.

Participating in the fair, Ms. Tran Thi Huyen – owner of the Le Phuong "cu do" candy brand – shared: “Spring fairs are a valuable opportunity for us to introduce our hometown's specialties to a large number of consumers in Hanoi and many provinces and cities nationwide. Homemade products have also become best-selling items at many markets.

It can be affirmed that promoting distinctive products and OCOP (One Commune One Product) through Spring Markets has been opening up an effective way for Ha Tinh's agricultural products to access the market. Not only does this contribute to stimulating consumer demand at the beginning of the year, but these activities also create a foundation for improving production capacity, perfecting quality, and gradually building sustainable brands for local products in the context of increasingly deep integration.
