After nearly 3 months of implementation, the digital library and STEM classrooms have been put into use, with a total investment of more than 11 billion VND, supported by the Tam Ky city budget and the Quang Nam province budget.
The inauguration ceremony of the digital library and STEM classroom was held by the People's Committee of Tam Ky City this morning (January 9) at 3 campuses: Ly Tu Trong Secondary School, Ly Thuong Kiet Secondary School, and Tran Quoc Toan Primary School.
Vice Chairman of Tam Ky City People's Committee Nguyen Minh Nam said that the digital library and STEM classrooms put into use have brought many positive results to the school, especially improving the qualityof education and creativity of students.
“In the era of Industry 4.0, education cannot stay out of the digital transformation wave,” said Mr. Nam.
According to the People's Committee of Tam Ky City, the STEM education program is synchronous and innovative; STEM classrooms (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) are spaces designed to support teaching and learning according to STEM educational methods. The classrooms are multi-purpose, equipped with tools, equipment and resources for practice, experimentation and creativity in the fields of science , technology, engineering and mathematics. The goal of the digital library and STEM classrooms is to inspire, stimulate the spirit of liberal education and encourage learning and research among young people.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Nam said that digital libraries and STEM classrooms will create creative learning spaces for students, helping to improve access to knowledge and enhance learning efficiency.
This is an essential trend in the digital transformation era, especially when online education and the combination of online and offline are becoming more popular.
