Attending the opening ceremony, from the central government were Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Hoang Minh; former Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Van Tung; Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology Market and Enterprise Development Tran Xuan Dich; and President of the National Startup Association Dinh Viet Hoa.
Representing Quang Nam province were: Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet; Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Xuan Vinh; and Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu - Head of the Organizing Committee of TechFest Quang Nam 2024.
In his opening remarks, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu emphasized that TechFest Quang Nam 2024 It will be upgraded and expanded more widely to achieve the goals of the provincial startup ecosystem by 2030, in accordance with the central and Quang Nam provincial government's directives on entrepreneurship.
This event combines conveying a message of encouragement, guiding the community to care for and protect intellectual property and fostering strong trade connections in the digital age, as well as creating favorable conditions for the startup business community, organizations, and individuals to have effective tools to stimulate innovation, create business advantages, and move towards sustainable development.
Taking place from June 5-9, TechFest Quang Nam 2024 attracted nearly 400 exhibition booths, showcasing thousands of startup ideas and products, OCOP products, and typical rural industrial products from within and outside the province. In addition, TechFest Quang Nam 2024 also featured numerous large-scale and in-depth workshops and forums on the components of the startup ecosystem.
According to Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu, the convergence of diverse and energetic ecosystem components promises a successful TechFest, and the expectation is that TechFest Quang Nam 2024 will build a class of energetic, creative entrepreneurs in Quang Nam in particular and Vietnam in general with regional and global reach.

According to Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Hoang Minh, as one of the leading localities in implementing Project 844, with a tradition of innovation and a desire to build the homeland, Quang Nam is known nationwide for its dynamic "open creative startup " model with the famous inspiring slogan: "Quang Nam – An open land for creative startups".
"The annual Techfest Quang Nam event has become a source of inspiration, attracting the attention of the business community, associations, organizations, and startup support agencies from other provinces and cities."
The series of events during the TechFest Quang Nam 2024 Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week provides a favorable opportunity to share, connect, and leverage resources and experts from both domestic and international backgrounds; and to collaboratively develop initiatives to overcome difficulties and challenges.
"Supporting and developing innovative startup models contributes to solving business challenges and contributes to the socio-economic development of the locality as well as the whole country," Deputy Minister Hoang Minh stated.
