Quang Nam opens TechFest 2024

Attending the opening ceremony, on the central side were Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Hoang Minh; former Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Van Tung; Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology Enterprise and Market Development Tran Xuan Dich; Chairman of the National Startup Association Dinh Viet Hoa.

On the side of Quang Nam province, there were alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet; Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Xuan Vinh; Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu - Head of the Organizing Committee of TechFest Quang Nam 2024.

In his opening speech, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu emphasized that TechFest Quang Nam 2024 upgraded and spread more strongly to achieve the goal of the provincial startup ecosystem by 2030 in accordance with the direction of the central government and Quang Nam province on startups.

This event combines the message of encouragement, guiding the community to care for intellectual property protection and strong trade connections in the digital age, as well as creating favorable conditions for the startup business community, organizations and individuals to have effective tools to stimulate innovation, create business advantages towards sustainable development.

Taking place from June 5-9, TechFest Quang Nam 2024 attracted nearly 400 booths, introducing thousands of ideas, startup products, OCOP products, and typical rural industrial products inside and outside the province. In addition, TechFest Quang Nam 2024 also held many large-scale and in-depth seminars and forums on components of the startup ecosystem.

According to Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu, the convergence of numerous and energetic ecosystem components promises a successful TechFest as desired and expected. TechFest Quang Nam 2024 will build a class of Quang Nam entrepreneurs in particular and Vietnam in general who are energetic and creative at the regional and world level.

Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Hoang Minh said that as one of the leading localities in implementing Project 844, with a tradition of innovation and aspiration to build the homeland, Quang Nam is known nationwide for its dynamic "open creative startup " model with the famous inspirational slogan: "Quang Nam - Open land for creative startups".

"The annual Techfest Quang Nam event has become a source of inspiration, attracting the attention of the business community, associations, unions, agencies, and startup support organizations of other provinces and cities.

The series of events in the Creative Startup Week - TechFest Quang Nam 2024 is a favorable opportunity to share connections, exploit resources, domestic and international experts; together come up with initiatives to overcome difficulties and challenges.

"Support and develop innovative startup models, contributing to solving business challenges and contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality as well as the whole country" - Deputy Minister Hoang Minh said.
