Quang Ninh - Muslim-friendly tourist destination

(PLVN) - On May 30, in Ha Long City, Ha Long University, Quang Ninh Province, in collaboration with the Institute of South Asian, West Asian and African Studies under the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, organized an International Conference on "Developing Quang Ninh into one of the leading Muslim-friendly tourist destinations in Vietnam".

The conference attracted more than 200 delegates, including Ambassadors of Muslim-populated countries such as Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, UAE, Algeria, and Kazakhstan.

Halal tourism - Friendly tourism , in accordance with the beliefs and culture of Muslims, is becoming one of the strong development trends globally. In recent years, Vietnam has also become an attractive destination for Muslim tourists because of its beautiful nature, unique culture and friendly people.

International conference scene.

Dr. Nguyen Duc Tiep - Rector of Ha Long University shared that this is the first time the University has organized an international conference related to Halal tourism with the desire to receive comments and methods to contribute to promoting Quang Ninh tourism to soon become a tourism center of the region and the world.

Quang Ninh Province is one of the major tourist centers of Vietnam, not only famous for the world natural wonder Ha Long Bay, but also possesses a modern transportation and tourism infrastructure system and a unique, open and friendly culture. Quang Ninh tourism units are also gradually approaching and changing their methods to attract Halal tourists to the mining land.

At the international conference, ambassadors and experts focused on discussing and assessing the current situation and development prospects of Quang Ninh in welcoming Halal tourists; identifying countries in the region that are also making moves to welcome the Halal tourist market; necessary Halal standards, human resource capacity in meeting the requirements of this type of tourism, etc.

Discussing and developing Muslim-friendly tourism products and services, and connecting with the international Halal tourism network, will help Quang Ninh attract a large number of tourists from Muslim countries as well as Muslim communities around the world.

This activity contributes to diversifying and enriching Quang Ninh tourism services, meeting the needs of many cultures, thereby contributing to promoting sustainable socio-economic development for the locality.
