On August 9, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province announced the opening of four entertainment areas on Ha Long Bay.
Accordingly, from August 1, Ha Long Bay has 4 entertainment and recreation areas managed and exploited by the Ha Long Bay Management Board.
Activity area No. 1 is the Luon cave area with an area of 5.23 hectares. Activity area No. 2 is Cua Van, an area of 29.56 hectares. Activity area No. 3 is Dong Tien lake - Trinh Nu cave, an area of 32.55 hectares and activity area No. 4 is Cong Do, an area of 62.36 hectares.

The Ha Long Bay Management Board is responsible for strictly implementing regulations on the management of water recreation facilities and other relevant legal regulations. At the same time, it implements plans to ensure security, safety, rescue, and prevent environmental pollution in water recreation areas in Ha Long Bay.
In addition, the Ha Long Bay Management Board must comply with the provisions of the law on inland waterway traffic, environmental protection, fire prevention and fighting, security, order, safety and other relevant legal provisions; Fully supplement the infrastructure system of limit buoys, control the area according to the measured coordinates, before going into operation.
Ha Long Bay Management Board shall preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to ensure the safety of activities in the announced areas and coordinate with Ha Long City People's Committee to unify regulations on specific operating hours for recreational and entertainment activities, and organize management to ensure safety throughout the operation.
Ha Long City People's Committee, Quang Ninh Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Quang Ninh Department of Transport are responsible for implementing state management work according to the unit's management areas at the announced entertainment areas.
The announcement of the recreational activity area in Ha Long Bay has removed many obstacles in investment and business activities of underwater tourism services such as kayaking and boating on the bay for many years.
