Quang Ninh seized and destroyed nearly 17 tons of clams and oysters of unknown origin.

On June 30, the Mobile Team of Market Management Team No. 1 (Market Management Department of Quang Ninh province) said that the unit had continuously discovered, inspected, seized and destroyed nearly 17 tons of clams and milk oysters of unknown origin with a total value of more than 670 million VND.

Previously, at 2:00 a.m. on June 28, Market Management Team No. 1 inspected a car with license plate 22C-078.92 driven by Mr. NQT (born in 1988, address in Binh Han, Hai Duong ) and discovered that the car was transporting 9,100 kg of clams (11 to 13 clams/kg) packed in mesh bags. All of these clams had no documents proving their origin.

Then, at 9:15 a.m. on June 29, Market Management Team No. 1 inspected car with license plate 34C-076.44 driven by Mr. NVM, born in 1991, address: Po Ma, Xuat Le commune, Cao Loc district, Lang Son province, transporting 7,660 kg of milk oysters (10 to 12 oysters/kg) without documents proving origin.

Clams of unknown origin were seized by the Quang Ninh Market Management force.

All of the clams and oysters were declared to have been purchased illegally in areas near the border, without invoices, documents or legal papers, and were packed in baskets and mesh bags for transport to the domestic market for consumption.

The case is being completed by Market Management Team No. 1, processed and destroyed in violation evidence according to the provisions of law.
