Quang Ninh supports more than 5 billion VND to help the Cuban people

Responding to the plan of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society and the direction of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, from September 14 to October 16, the Quang Ninh Provincial Red Cross Society launched a peak campaign to propagate and mobilize support to help the Cuban people overcome difficulties caused by the impact of the pandemic, natural disasters and blockade and embargo policies.

The leaders of the Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee received the first round of VND 4.3 billion in support for the Cuban people and presented a plaque of recognition for their golden heart to the Quang Ninh Provincial Red Cross on October 14, 2025.

Within just one month of launching, the program received positive responses from 795 organizations and individuals in the province (including 115 groups and 680 individuals), with a total donation amount of up to 5,094,193,024 VND. Of which, the amount transferred through the Provincial Red Cross Fund account was 4,270,980,524 VND, the amount transferred directly to the Central account of the Vietnam Red Cross Society was 823,212,500 VND. The entire amount of donations through the Provincial Red Cross Fund was transferred by the Society's leaders to the Central Vietnam Red Cross Society to be transferred to the Cuban people, ensuring the right purpose, publicity, transparency and efficiency.

This campaign has practical significance, and was promptly concretized by the Quang Ninh Provincial Red Cross, in line with the direction of the Central and local Party Committees. Thereby, it has created a widespread influence in the community, receiving the support and cooperation of agencies, units, businesses, social organizations and a large number of people and philanthropists in the province.

This activity not only demonstrates the noble spirit of international solidarity, but also contributes to deepening the special, loyal and steadfast friendship between the two peoples of Vietnam and Cuba.
