Ha Tinh donated more than 2.6 billion VND to support the Cuban people.

(Baohatinh.vn) - After 65 days of launching, the Red Cross Society of Ha Tinh province has called for more than 2.6 billion VND for the program "Vietnam - Cuba Friendship".

Responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society and implementing instructions from superiors, on August 13, 2025, the Red Cross Society of Ha Tinh province launched a program to support the Cuban people on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba (1960 - 2025).

Officials and people of Thach Ha commune donated more than 310 million VND to Cuban people.

After the launching ceremony, the movement to support the Cuban people quickly spread widely, receiving positive responses from all levels, sectors, agencies, units, businesses, schools and a large number of people throughout the province.

Officials and people of Huong Do commune presented symbols of support for the program.

As of October 16, after 65 years of implementation, nearly 973 organizations and individuals have donated a total of more than VND 2.6 billion through the channel of the Provincial Red Cross Society. This amount will be transferred by the Ha Tinh Provincial Red Cross Society to the Central Vietnam Red Cross Society to promptly support the Cuban people to overcome difficult times.

Ha Tinh students responded to the painting and letter writing activities with the theme praising the Vietnam - Cuba friendship.

In addition to cash contributions to the program, many schools in the province organized painting and letter writing activities with the theme of praising the friendship between Vietnam and Cuba. This activity received positive responses, contributing to educating the younger generation about the meaning of tradition and history.

The material and spiritual gifts are clear evidence of the loyal and steadfast affection that the people of Ha Tinh in particular and the people of Vietnam in general have for the brotherly country of Cuba; contributing to affirming the strong friendship between the two countries and two peoples.
