Nearly 178,000 newly established enterprises with registered capital increased by 20.9%

In the 11 months, the country recorded nearly 178,000 newly registered enterprises. The total registered capital reached 1,753.2 trillion VND and the total number of registered employees was 1,050.8 thousand workers.

On December 6, the General Statistics Office announced information on business registration, showing a positive outlook from the business community in 11 months with the number of new establishments and registered capital growing strongly.

In the 11 months, the country recorded nearly 178,000 newly registered enterprises. The total registered capital reached 1,753.2 trillion VND and the total number of registered employees was 1,050.8 thousand workers. These indicators all grew impressively by 20.9% in the number of enterprises, 20.9% in registered capital and 16% in the number of workers compared to the same period in 2024.

Notably, the additional capital added to the economy reached a record level with the total additional registered capital in 11 months being VND5.6 million billion, a sharp increase of 104.3% over the same period in 2024. Of which, the additional capital from operating enterprises accounted for nearly VND3.9 million billion, an increase of 197.3% (the average registered capital of a newly established enterprise in 11 months reached VND9.8 billion, equivalent to the same period in 2024).

In addition to the number of newly established enterprises, the number of enterprises returning to operation also increased significantly. In 11 months, the whole country had 97.6 thousand enterprises returning to operation, an increase of 36.9% over the same period. Accordingly, the total number of newly established and returning enterprises in the economy in 11 months was 275.6 thousand enterprises, an increase of 26.1% over the same period in 2024. On average, 25.1 thousand enterprises entered or re-entered the market each month.

Regarding the distribution of economic sectors, the service sector continues to lead in the number of newly established enterprises with 136,200 enterprises (up 22.3%). Next is the industrial and construction sector with 40,100 enterprises (up 16.6%) and the agricultural, forestry and fishery sector with 1,682 enterprises (up 12.5%).

Although the market recorded strong entry, the number of enterprises withdrawing from the market also remained high. In total, in 11 months, the number of enterprises temporarily suspending business was 110,100 enterprises (up 14.4% over the same period). There were 64,500 enterprises ceasing operations pending dissolution procedures (up 11.7%) and 30,800 enterprises completing dissolution procedures (up 60.1%). In total, on average, 18,700 enterprises withdrew from the market per month in 11 months of 2025.

In November 2025, the country had 15.1 thousand newly established enterprises, down 16.1% compared to October. However, compared to the same period in 2024, the number of newly established enterprises still increased by 34.9%. The average registered capital per enterprise this month reached 10.7 billion VND.

The report also showed that in the month, the number of enterprises returning to operation was 9.7 thousand, down 16.4% compared to the previous month but up 25.6% compared to the same period in 2024. Regarding the number of enterprises withdrawing, the whole country had 4,859 enterprises temporarily suspending business, 6,668 enterprises suspending operations pending dissolution and 4,022 enterprises completing dissolution procedures.
