Border guards promptly rescued a fishing boat in distress at Nam Cua Viet.

QTO - At 8:30 a.m. on December 5, Trieu Van Border Guard Station (Provincial Border Guard Command) received a report from people in the storm shelter area in Phu Hoi village, Nam Cua Viet commune, about the fishing boat of Mr. Nguyen Van Phuoc (born in 1972, residing in Phu Hoi village, Nam Cua Viet commune) having its automatic water pump device disconnected, causing the boat to sink halfway.

Immediately after receiving the information, the unit quickly mobilized a working group of 10 officers and soldiers to quickly approach the scene, coordinate with functional forces and local people to deploy rescue measures. The working group supported pulling the ship from the sunken position, ensuring the safety of the vehicle.

Currently, Mr. Phuoc's boat has been pulled up safely, preventing the risk of sinking completely. The incident did not cause any human casualties. Trieu Van Border Guard Station continues to coordinate with local authorities to propagate to fishermen to check safety equipment before anchoring, in order to limit the occurrence of similar incidents.
