Suoi Dau Commune Women's Union organized a training course on applying science and technology in rice care.

On December 6, the Women's Union of Suoi Dau commune organized a training conference on the application of science and technology in rice cultivation, enhancing economic empowerment for ethnic minority women. This is an activity to implement Project 8 "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children" under the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021 - 2030. The training course was attended by 140 trainees who are union officials, women's union members, village heads, village elders, members of the community communication team, and the "Leaders of Change" Club in Suoi Lau 3 village.

At the training course, trainees were introduced to scientific and technological advances in rice cultivation to apply in production such as: Using high-quality rice varieties, water-saving irrigation technology; reasonable fertilization techniques, monitoring rice plant growth; smartphone applications in forecasting pests and weather; disease prevention and control processes on rice; instructions on recording production, improving rice quality and linking consumption. At the same time, trainees were shared information about practical models, good experiences in rice production...

The training course aims to equip ethnic minority women with new knowledge and techniques on applying science and technology in rice care. Thereby, helping them improve their knowledge, apply it to production, and increase their income.
