Quang Ninh ranked 3rd in the National Medal Table of the IOE Competition for the 2024-2025 school year.

Quang Ninh ranked 3rd in the country on the National Medal Table of the Internet English Olympic Competition (IOE) for the 2024-2025 school year.

Nguyen Hoang Ngan, Class 5A3, Tran Hung Dao Primary School (Ha Long City), is one of the students who won the Gold Medal at the National Round of the IOE Competition in the 2024-2025 school year.

Accordingly, Quang Ninh students won a total of 248 medals and awards in the National Round of the IOE Competition for the 2024-2025 school year, including: 34 Gold Medals, 58 Silver Medals, 69 Bronze Medals and 87 Encouragement Prizes.

With this result, Quang Ninh excellently ranked 3rd out of 63 provinces and cities, just behind Hai Duong and Hanoi. The remaining provinces and cities in the group of 10 localities leading the National Medal Table of the IOE Competition for the 2024-2025 school year are Hai Phong, Quang Binh, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Hung Yen, Thai Nguyen and Quang Tri, respectively.

The IOE contest is an online academic playground organized by VTC Online Media Joint Stock Company (VTC Online) since the 2010-2011 school year. The contest aims to improve English proficiency, encourage self-study ability and apply information technology in learning for high school students from grades 3 to 12 nationwide.

The IOE competition is divided into two main stages: Self-study round and Official competition round. The Official competition round includes the following levels: school level, district level, provincial level, and national level. The national competition is for students in grades 5, 9, and 11.

The results of the IOE Competition for the 2024-2025 school year continue to affirm the clear changes in foreign language teaching and learning in the Quang Ninh education sector, meeting the requirements of innovation and international integration.
