Quang Tri rewards students with high achievements in the National Excellent Student Selection Exam

On the afternoon of February 28, Quang Tri province held a ceremony to commend and reward students and teachers with high achievements in the National High School Student Selection Exam for the 2024-2025 school year.

Attending the ceremony were Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Long Hai, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong, leaders of several units of the Ministry of Education and Training, and leaders of Quang Tri province.

Deputy Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong awarded Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training to students.

The national high school competition for excellent students in the 2024-2025 school year was organized by the Ministry of Education and Training from December 24 to 26, 2024. In this year's competition, Quang Tri province had 60/89 students participating in the competition winning prizes, including 1 first prize, 7 second prizes, 17 third prizes and 35 consolation prizes; 3 teams with 100% of contestants winning prizes in the subjects of Information Technology, English and Geography.

Informatics continues to maintain its leading position among subjects with one first prize. Notably, this year, two students, from Informatics and Biology, were selected to participate in the second round of international competition.

Speaking at the commendation ceremony, Mr. Hoang Nam, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, emphasized that this is the highest result the province has ever achieved, and is a driving force for the education and training sector to continue to strive and promote in the following years.

According to Mr. Hoang Nam, it is the result of intelligence, a testament to perseverance and constant effort. 60 national excellent student awards are not only personal achievements, but also the pride of the whole collective, of the enthusiastic youth and of Quang Tri homeland.

Deputy Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong and Secretary of Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Long Hai congratulated and awarded the students.

Over the years, the provincial education sector has always received great attention from the leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training and the provincial leaders. Many innovative policies and guidelines have been issued, always considering education as one of the top important areas to direct the improvement of comprehensive education quality and key education.

In addition, the locality devotes many resources to training excellent students, discovering and nurturing talents, creating conditions for students to study and research in the best environment.

Reporting at the commendation ceremony, Director of the Department of Education and Training Le Thi Huong said that over the years, in addition to the goal of improving the quality of mass education and comprehensive education, the Quang Tri Department of Education and Training has clearly identified the need to gradually improve the quality of key education.

To achieve this goal, in recent times, Party leaders at all levels and local authorities have devoted much leadership, direction, attention, support and created favorable conditions in many aspects.

“The above results can be considered a milestone recognizing efforts, marking the development of key education quality, creating a premise for development in the following years,” Ms. Le Thi Huong affirmed.

In recognition of the achievements of Quang Tri students, the Minister of Education and Training awarded Certificates of Merit to students who won First, Second and Third prizes.

Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals with achievements in training excellent students; and awarded Certificates of Merit and rewards to students with high achievements.

The Director of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province awarded Certificates of Merit to students who won the Encouragement Prize. The Department of Education and Training also awarded collectives and individuals.
