On June 24, the Soc Trang Market Management Department said it was preparing a case to handle a pharmaceutical business in Tra Quyt A hamlet, Chau Thanh town, Chau Thanh district, for selling expired pharmaceuticals.

Previously, the Market Management Department of Soc Trang province coordinated with the competent authorities to conduct surprise inspections and discovered 4 cases of violations in the trading of smuggled goods, goods of unknown origin, expired goods, and selling prescription drugs without a prescription... with a total value of nearly 70 million VND. Notably, there was 1 case of trading 5 types of expired modern medicines with a total value of nearly 18 million VND.

Specifically, the inspection team of the Soc Trang Market Management Department inspected the Cao Tri pharmacy business household (address: Tra Quyt A hamlet, Chau Thanh town, Chau Thanh district, Soc Trang province), and made a record of administrative violations against this household for two violations: selling prescription drugs without a prescription and selling expired modern medicine. All goods in violation of the team were sealed and temporarily detained for processing.
It is known that this pharmacy is located at the house of a doctor who is currently working at the Chau Thanh District Medical Center. To verify, we contacted the doctor by phone and he said that his house is where he examines patients, while the pharmacy is registered under someone else's name. On the day the authorities inspected, he was at work and did not know about the incident, so he is waiting for the authorities' conclusion.
