This afternoon, June 19th, Lieutenant Colonel Le Truong Giang, Political Officer of the 968th Division's Fallen Soldiers' Remains Collection Team, announced that the unit had discovered and exhumed three sets of remains of fallen soldiers in Ban Chua, Cam Tuyen commune, Cam Lo district, Quang Tri province.

Specifically, through research into the combat history of the units, the process of collecting the remains of fallen soldiers in previous years, as well as information from veterans and local people, from June 16-19, 2025, the Fallen Soldiers' Remains Collection Team of Division 968 conducted a search and collected the remains of 3 fallen soldiers in the melaleuca forest area of ​​Ban Chua.

The remains were found at a depth of about 1.2m, spaced 2-4m apart, along with some artifacts such as: decayed personal wallets, rubber sandals, buttons, belt buckles, canvas...

The remains of the martyrs are currently being kept at the community learning center in Ban Chua village.

The search operation is still being expanded in this area.
