At the conference, Colonel Tran Nam Trung, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Border Guard, announced the Decision to establish the Northwest Training and Mobility Center under the Border Guard Command; the Decision to dissolve the Border Guard Commands of 44 provinces and cities under the Border Guard Command and establish the Northwest Training and Mobility Center with the function and task of organizing training for new soldiers and training reserve soldiers according to the plan assigned by the Ministry of National Defense . This is a mobile force, ready to fight and participate in resolving situations to maintain political security and social order and safety in border areas.
The conference also announced the decision to establish the Party Committee of the Northwest Training and Mobility Center; the decision to transfer and appoint personnel at 30 Border Guard Commands under the provincial military command and the decision to promote 7 comrades to the rank of lieutenant colonel.
Speaking at the conference, Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai congratulated the comrades who had just received the decisions on transfer and appointment; at the same time, he hoped that in their new positions, they would continue to promote their sense of responsibility, courage, and experience, build a strong unit, and successfully complete all assigned tasks.
Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai requested the functional agencies of the Border Guard Command to continue to urgently and focus on advising the Party Committee and the Border Guard Command to direct the handover and organization consolidation of the Border Guard Command; report to the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to review, amend, supplement, and promulgate regulations and rules, and perfect the institution to ensure the comprehensive and direct leadership, command, and direction of the Border Guard Command Party Committee over the Border Guard Command on border work and force building.
The Northwest Training and Mobility Center needs to soon complete its organization and staff, coordinate with the functional agencies of the Border Guard Command to receive and hand over military personnel, weapons, equipment, facilities, and barracks.
"During the handover process, units need to strictly maintain combat readiness, absolutely not be subjective or negligent in performing the task of managing and protecting border security and sovereignty , strictly manage the number of troops, documents, papers, seals, weapons, equipment, facilities, and not allow violations of law, discipline, or insecurity to occur," comrade Le Duc Thai directed.
Carry out political and policy work well so that cadres, employees and soldiers can feel secure, overcome difficulties, and quickly stabilize their work and family life; closely coordinate with functional agencies of the Ministry of National Defense, the General Staff, military regions and local military agencies to organize and implement tasks.
