In the Exhibition of Socio -Economic Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, Ho Chi Minh City was assigned to create a large-scale exhibition area, fully reflecting the appearance and leading role of this special urban center.

According to the plan, Ho Chi Minh City will be responsible for developing the content, designing, constructing, staging, and operating a space showcasing the beauty, resources, heritage, and outstanding achievements in the city's cultural, economic, and social development. This space is part of the "Prosperous Province, Strong Nation" section within the general exhibition area.

In this area, along with content such as the reenactment of the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign, under the theme "95 years of the Party flag guiding the way," it not only commemorates the historic moment of 1975, the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, but also affirms the position and contributions of the city to the construction and development of the country over the past half-century.

The outdoor exhibition area is now nearing completion. It will feature models of significant landmarks in Ho Chi Minh City, such as the Nha Rong Wharf, the Con Dao Special Economic Zone, offshore oil rigs, the Thu Dau Mot Market, and the lighthouse in the coastal city.
In the indoor exhibition area, Ho Chi Minh City will utilize modern technology to showcase key national projects currently underway in the city, as well as milestones in its development over the 50 years since reunification. These exhibits will highlight the image of a dynamic, innovative city constantly striving to fulfill its role as the leading economic, cultural, and scientific -technological center of the country.

In particular, Ho Chi Minh City also undertakes the organization of cultural and artistic programs, forums, and seminars on the creative industry, entertainment industry, and the network of creative cities in Vietnam and around the world. The city also participates in the exhibition area themed "Creativity for Construction," which showcases 12 cultural industries, areas in which Ho Chi Minh City has many strengths.

The Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements, held to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on September 2nd, is a large-scale political and cultural event of national significance. With the theme "Radiant Vietnam - 80 Years of Independence, Freedom, and Happiness," the exhibition not only honors the country's great achievements in the fields of economics, culture, society, science, education, security, defense, and foreign relations, but also affirms the position, resilience, and aspirations for development of the Vietnamese nation in the new era.

The exhibition takes place from August 28th to September 5th at the National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh commune, Hanoi), with a total exhibition area of over 250,900 m², including both indoor and outdoor spaces. The content is divided into several large sections: a general exhibition area with themes on history, the Party, the State, and development achievements; an outdoor area showcasing green industries, aerospace, security and defense, culture and tourism; and an international exhibition area featuring 12 cultural industries demonstrating the spirit of integration and innovation.

With the participation of central ministries and agencies; 34 provinces and cities; outstanding businesses; and international organizations and countries, the exhibition presents a comprehensive picture of 80 years of national construction, protection, and development. This is an opportunity for people nationwide, overseas Vietnamese, and international friends to better understand the glorious historical journey, while fostering national pride and the aspiration to make Vietnam a developed, prosperous, civilized, and happy nation.
