The documentary “Autumn Triumph” produced by TFS Film Studio (Ho Chi Minh City Television) was born from the desire to fully portray that historical picture. The film not only recreates the heroic pages of history through rare documents and living witnesses, but also conveys a sacred message: independence and freedom are eternal aspirations, the achievement of countless generations who have fallen, so that today we can live in peace and prosperity.

The film opens in the autumn of 1945, when Ba Dinh Square echoed with the Declaration of Independence by President Ho Chi Minh. The image of the people of the capital bursting into joy after being freed from slavery became an immortal symbol. It was the autumn of birth, affirming national sovereignty , opening a new era for the Vietnamese people.

From that foundation, the film leads the audience through three decades of arduous but heroic resistance, to the Autumn of 1975 - the triumphant autumn, when the country was completely independent, the mountains and rivers were united. Independence Day on September 2, 1975 in Saigon- Ho Chi Minh City is depicted through rare documentary footage, stories of living witnesses, recreating the blooming atmosphere: flags and flowers filled the sky, joy spread throughout the streets, the hearts of the entire nation beat together with the rhythm of freedom.

The film not only tells the story through images and commentary, but also through the emotional memories of the people who witnessed that historic day. From the elderly who experienced the August Revolution, to the young people who joined the crowd on the first independence day of the unified country, all contributed to creating a “collective memory” for future generations to remember forever.

Besides the documentary element, “Autumn Triumph” also explores the depth of value: independence is not an end point, but the beginning of a journey of construction and development. Focusing on the imprints of the two autumns - 1945 and 1975, the film connects to the present, posing the question: what will we do to be worthy of that legacy in the 21st century?

In particular, the film focuses on the role of today's young generation. They are the ones who inherit the fruits of peace, but at the same time are also the pioneers in creating the future. Through images of young people sharing their thoughts and feelings about Independence Day, the film affirms that the value of independence and freedom is never old, it continues to be written with the spirit of responsibility, creativity and dedication of the new generation.

“Autumn Triumph” was created with a solemn yet emotional spirit, so that the audience, especially the young generation, can have the opportunity to look back on the 30-year journey from independence in 1945 to reunification in 1975. Thereby, it arouses pride, gratitude, and a sense of responsibility to continue the nation's immortal values.

Triumphant Autumn will be officially broadcast at 9pm, September 1st on HTV9. For decades, documentaries have been associated with familiar television time slots, entering life as a channel to preserve memories and knowledge.

But this time, Triumphant Autumn does not stop at the small screen. For the first time, a historical documentary is broadcast simultaneously on HTV9 channel and HTVm online platform, opening up opportunities to reach a wide audience, especially young people who love watching movies through digital platforms. The film is also released in theaters, a bold and passionate step by the filmmakers, demonstrating the desire to bring history closer to today's public.
