Not only renewing contracts with key players, Nam Dinh Club also bought many foreign players with high qualifications and class.
Spend big on players
Nam Dinh FC is a team that currently owns many Vietnamese national team players. The current V-League champion will participate in many arenas (AFC Champions League Two, Southeast Asian Cup C1, Vietnam Super Cup, V-League and National Cup). In the new season, the team has spent a lot of money on players to avoid the loss of human resources due to injuries like near the end of last season.
Preparing for the new journey, Nam Dinh Club has purified its forces, renewed the core squad and gathered early for high-quality friendly matches. Before going to Korea for training, Nam Dinh Club faced and lost to Libolo Club (Angola) at Ninh Binh Province Stadium. In the land of kimchi, Nam Dinh Club surprisingly had 3 consecutive wins in friendly matches with Korean clubs. Notably, the foreign players played an important role in the victories of the team from Thanh Nam.
Kyle Hudlin is a British striker, with an impressive height of 2.02 m. Before moving to play for Nam Dinh Club, this striker born in 2000 played for English teams such as Huddersfield Town B, Newport County...
Meanwhile, Njabulo Blom is a South African midfielder, famous in Major League Soccer (MLS), when he played for St. Louis CITY SC. This player born in 1999 was also called up and played for the South African national team.
Striker Mahmoud Eid was born in 1993, has dual citizenship of Palestine and Sweden. He has played football in Sweden, Denmark, Indonesia, Qatar, Bahrain, Thailand... and is currently a member of the Palestine national team. Mahmoud can play in many positions in the attack, is experienced, and is expected to help Nam Dinh Club improve its performance in the international arena.

Expectations for new elements
Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club (HAGL) is also active in the player shopping market ahead of the new season. After the end of V-League 2024-2025, the mountain town team said goodbye to many key players such as Minh Vuong, Van Son, Quang Nho, Ngoc Quang, Bao Toan and Ly Duc.
With a long-term development strategy, Technical Director Vu Tien Thanh wants to rejuvenate the core force, creating opportunities for young players to experience the feeling of playing in the V-League. Therefore, experts predict that HAGL Club will continue to be one of the few teams with the youngest average age in the new V-League season.
In addition, the Pleiku home team also initially completed its squad in preparation for the 2025-2027 season, when signing contracts with 2 foreign players: midfielder Khevin Fraga, striker Gabriel da Conceiçao, and 5 "new recruits": Ryan Ha, Hoang Vinh Nguyen, Tran Gia Huy, Huynh Tuan Vu, Nguyen Duy Tam.
The new players have integrated quickly, as demonstrated by their achievement of winning the runner-up title of Thien Long Cup 2025 - a friendly tournament gathering many strong teams held at Tam Ky Stadium (Da Nang) in July 2025. This is considered a playground to "run up" for the new season.
In order to review the team and shape the team before entering the official tournament, HAGL Club went to Thailand for training from July 30 to August 9. Here, the team had 5 friendly matches with Thai clubs.
Nam Dinh FC will participate in the National Super Cup match on August 9, facing Hanoi Police FC at Thien Truong Stadium. This is also the start of the new season for coach Vu Hong Viet and his team.
