Recently, information has emerged that central defender Bui Tien Dung will leave Hai Phong FC at the end of the 2025/26 season to join The Cong Viettel.

Bui Tien Dung was born on November 23, 1998, in Ngoc Lac, Thanh Hoa, and graduated from the PVF training academy. In 2016, Tien Dung began his professional career playing for Than Quang Ninh on loan.

After leaving Than Quang Ninh in 2017, Tien Dung played for SHB Da Nang (2017-2021), Hai Phong FC (2022), and CAHN Club (2023-2024). In September 2024, the 28-year-old player returned to join the team at Lach Tray Stadium.

Tien Dung is 1.76m tall and weighs 76kg. Besides playing as a central defender, he can also play as a defensive midfielder. He is currently valued at €225,000 by the transfer website Transfermarkt.

Tien Dung has previously played for the Vietnam U21, U22, and U23 teams and won the gold medal in men's football at the 30th SEA Games (2019). This season, he has made 20 appearances in all competitions (playing a total of 1,713 minutes), scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist.

Tien Dung previously won the National Cup and the National Super Cup with Than Quang Ninh in 2016. While playing for CAHN Club, he won the V.League championship in 2023.
