On September 17, Turkish divers launched a search for three firefighters missing after their helicopter crashed into a reservoir near the western city of Izmir.
Turkey's Agriculture and Forestry Minister Ibrahim Yumakli said the helicopter crashed while taking water from the reservoir to extinguish a forest fire on the evening of September 16.
The helicopter crew consisted of three Kyrgyz and one Turkish national. One of them, a Kyrgyz, was rescued and taken to hospital in stable condition.
Speaking on television, Minister Yumakli said divers had located the wreckage of the crashed helicopter . However, the team could not see clearly at the moment due to limited visibility.
