According to Kronen Zeitung, Ronaldo arrived at Salzburg airport on a private plane with the team on July 26 and stayed at the Gut Brandlhof hotel in the town of Saalfelden. However, the number of fans who came was too large, many even knocked on his room door to ask for autographs or selfies, making the 40-year-old star feel uncomfortable. Ronaldo threatened to call the police to handle the situation.

The fans caused chaos in the area around the hotel. Some young people found ways to get inside, even to the lobby and common corridors, putting pressure on both the security team and the reception staff. When the situation got out of control, Ronaldo bluntly threatened: "I will call the police."
Despite his initial acrimonious attitude, Ronaldo later appeared in the lobby and took the time to sign autographs for fans who patiently waited. Some fans were moved to tears when they received an autograph from their idol.
The hotel management later reflected that, although Al Nassr only rented about a third of its 200 rooms, the public areas were still open to many guests who booked rooms to approach Ronaldo. Hotel owner Alexander Strobl affirmed: "Just because you stay in the same hotel as Ronaldo does not give you the right to ask for a photo or autograph." The hotel also admitted that security forces did not respond promptly when the incident began.
The 40-year-old superstar's security team of 16 people still failed to completely control the crowd. Mr. Alexander Strobl said that if the team returns next year, the hotel will have to come up with a different plan to ensure stricter security.
