Rootkits are considered one of the most dangerous types of malware today. It allows hackers to gain full administrative rights on the device and maintain long-term control.
According to the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), rootkits conceal their attack activities using secret methods that are difficult to detect. Experts say rootkits are often transmitted through pirated software, phishing emails or system vulnerabilities.
Once infiltrated, rootkits can install themselves deep into the bootloader or firmware, surviving even after an operating system reinstallation. The most dangerous point is the ability to "stealth", hide the process and bypass anti-virus software. As a precaution, users need to update their operating systems, only download applications from trusted sources and enable multi-factor authentication.
Additionally, it is advisable to back up your data regularly and use advanced security tools to minimize risks. Dear readers, please watch more videos : Many scams using AI technology are on the rise | News 141
