The colorful atmosphere of a "Rural Market Festival"

HNN.VN - Following the ceremony honoring Mrs. Tran Thi Dao - who made significant contributions to the construction of Thanh Toan tiled bridge, the "Rural Market Festival" in response to the Hue Festival 2024 officially opened on the evening of June 27th at the Thanh Toan tiled bridge community tourism site (Thuy Thanh commune). With the main stage set afloat on the river and a backdrop of a centuries-old tiled bridge, the opening ceremony of the "Rural Market Festival" in response to the Hue Festival 2024 created a visual impression for the audience as soon as the lights came on.

After the opening with songs like "Vietnam, a Mighty Country," "Huong Thuy on a New Day," etc., with their vibrant and proud melodies, the audience was immersed in a rustic yet impressive atmosphere through the "Rural Market Festival" scene, then captivated and moved by songs like "Very Hue," "Ancient Hue," "Tile-Covered Bridge Weaving a Love Song," etc., performed by the much-loved singer, Meritorious Artist Van Khanh, and the cast and actors of VK Star Company.

Also on the opening night, the presentation of two ao dai collections: "Hue - A Golden Era" and "A Gathering of Flowers" by designer Lan Vy further affirmed the allure and charm of Vietnamese ao dai in general, and Hue ao dai in particular, while showcasing the value of the ao dai - a distinctive cultural product deeply rooted in national identity and a symbol of Vietnamese women.

Attending the opening ceremony were: Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Quang Tuan - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Nam Tien - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province.

Organized in conjunction with the Hue Festival, this year's "Rural Market Festival," taking place from June 27th to 30th, is a program with many attractive activities. Besides the unique cultural and artistic performances at the opening and closing ceremonies, throughout the "Rural Market Festival," visitors will experience many interesting activities, such as: community ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress) fashion shows, culinary delights, traditional folk singing performances, agricultural activities, lantern festivals, walking on a monkey bridge over the Nhu Y River, blindfolded duck catching, zip-lining across the river, fishing boat races, buying and selling agricultural products, visiting and checking in at historical sites and tourist attractions…

“These activities promise to offer unique experiences, helping visitors from near and far to better understand the culture, people, and tourism potential of Thuy Thanh in particular and Huong Thuy in general. This is also an opportunity to promote and exploit the strengths of local scenic spots and festivals, thereby contributing to the development of tourism and creating more impressive destinations for tourists visiting Hue,” said Ms. Ngo Thi Ai Huong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Huong Thuy Town.
