On the morning of March 6, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics , the Central Internal Affairs Committee, the Central Propaganda Committee and the National Political Publishing House Truth jointly organized a scientific seminar on the theoretical and practical values of the work "Resolutely and persistently fighting against corruption and negativity, contributing to building our Party and State increasingly clean and strong".

At the seminar, the opinions of experts and scientists affirmed that the book by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is a document of profound value in both theory and practice, a "handbook" for the fight against corruption and negativity in our country.
Based on summarizing rich practices and drawing out theoretical issues, the work affirmed that the fight against corruption and negativity is "a necessary and inevitable task, an irreversible trend" with the determination that "there are no forbidden zones, no blank areas, no exceptions, no privileges, regardless of who the person is and not subject to pressure from any individual".
The goal of the struggle is to purify the Party and the State apparatus, to develop the country; to deal with corruption and negativity is to "treat the disease and save people", "discipline a few people to save thousands, prosecute a case to warn an entire region, a field; from there to warn, deter,educate , and prevent is the main thing".
The work clearly indicates the direction and tasks in the coming time, with special attention paid to the work of building and perfecting institutions in all fields, gradually perfecting strict prevention mechanisms to ensure that corruption and negativity are "impossible", "not daring", "not wanting", and "not needing".

According to Professor Phan Xuan Son, in the book, the General Secretary affirmed that the root cause of corruption is individualism, the degradation of political ideology, morality, and lifestyle of a number of cadres, party members, civil servants, and public employees, including high-ranking cadres. Therefore, special attention must be paid to cadre work, the right cadres must be evaluated, selected, and assigned, power must be controlled, and power must be locked in a cage of mechanisms.

At the same time, the content of the book needs to be deployed and implemented throughout the district-level political training centers nationwide.
