SACOMBANK receives the Sao Khue Award 2026.

On May 28, 2026, SACOMBANK was once again honored at the Sao Khue 2026 Awards organized by the Vietnam Software and Information Technology Services Association (VINASA).

On May 28, 2026, SACOMBANK was once again honored at the Sao Khue 2026 Awards, organized by the Vietnam Software and Information Technology Services Association (VINASA), with a 5-star rating for "Open Payment Technology for Public Transportation Systems" in the Fintech (Financial Technology) category. This is the sixth consecutive year SACOMBANK has received this award, affirming the Bank's commitment to investing in infrastructure and promoting innovation in its digital transformation journey.

Notably, SACOMBANK was also recognized on the Vietnam Digital Technology Solutions Map 2026 – a tool published for the first time by VINASA to outline the overall capabilities and maturity level of Vietnam's digital technology solutions. The map is expected to serve as a reference point to help businesses position their products and support regulatory agencies in guiding the development of the national digital ecosystem.

In 2024, SACOMBANK was a pioneer in deploying an open-loop cashless payment solution for public transportation systems. The solution quickly connects with international card organizations such as Mastercard, Visa, and the national payment company Napas, expanding access to tens of millions of users.

Passengers can pay flexibly using bank cards issued by any domestic or foreign bank, VietQR codes, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay, Garmin Pay, or e-wallets when using the Metro and buses. Currently, Ho Chi Minh City Metro has a cashless payment rate of over 90% with diverse methods ranging from automatic ticket vending machines to online ticket purchases.

The application of open payment technology helps shorten transaction times, enhance security, and optimize the travel experience for people. At the same time, the solution contributes to promoting cashless payment habits, encouraging the use of public transportation, and aiming towards the goal of green and sustainable urban development. In the future, SACOMBANK will continue to expand its connections with JCB, American Express, UnionPay, and deploy it on various other public transportation platforms.
