After 8 months of construction and renovation of Dong Da Lake, the image of the stage and outdoor grandstand for performances with a scale of 1,000 people racing towards the lake has been revealed. The project has a total investment of nearly 300 billion VND.
Dong Da Lake, also known as Hoang Cau Lake ( Hanoi ), is located in the center of Dong Da district, with a surface area of about 13.3 hectares and a circumference of over 2,100 m. After 8 months of construction (from July 2024 to March 2025), the stage and grandstand area floating on the lake surface has taken shape. This is one of many items of this project.
The stage and grandstand on Dong Da Lake are the highlight of this renovation project. It is known that the stage has a capacity of 1,000 seats.
Dong Da Lake is located in the central axis of Hanoi with the East and Southeast being Hoang Cau Street connecting Lang Street to De La Thanh, and Dang Tien Dong - Mai Anh Tuan Street running around the lake. The streets around Dong Da Lake are 1,270 m long, with a current cross-section of 6.5 m.
Renovation and new construction items are being implemented synchronously and quickly. The project is expected to be completed by the end of August this year.
Previously, Hanoi aimed to build this place into a tourist attraction and host major events. In the construction area, Hanoi required the renovation of infrastructure and the construction of a lake landscape to meet the development of the capital.
The renovation project has a total investment of nearly 300 billion VND. Previously, a representative of the Dong Da District Urban Management Department also denied rumors of filling Dong Da Lake to implement the project.
The project arranges convenient facilities such as resting chairs made of natural stone cut according to design; children's play area on Dang Tien Dong street and 4 concentrated points for children's play equipment.
The railing on the sidewalk area of Hoang Cau street was newly built with a curved design, the white color of the railing also creates a highlight for this neighborhood.
The embankment is under construction, some locations have been completed. Large tempered glass panels are installed around Dong Da Lake.
The project is expected to meet the living needs of the people and be a landscape highlight of Dong Da district in particular and Hanoi in general.
Workers are paving the sidewalk around Dong Da Lake on the morning of March 12.
The winning contractor is Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation (Vinaconex). There are currently about 100 workers working at the construction site.
Many sidewalks and railings along the lake have been completed.
The stage area will be about 1 meter higher than the sidewalk on Hoang Cau Street.
