The price of this precious metal increased sharply in the context of US President Donald Trump announcing reciprocal tariffs on 14 countries and the US stock market falling.
At 8:30 a.m., the gold price was trading at 3,333.4 USD/ounce, about 15 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price.
Opening, businesses listed the price of SJC gold bars at 119 million VND/tael (buy) - 121 million VND/tael (sell), an increase of 500,000 VND/tael each way compared to the end of yesterday.
For gold rings, Phu Quy Group listed at 113.9 million VND/tael (buy) - 116.9 million VND/tael (sell), an increase of 200,000 VND/tael each way compared to the end of yesterday.
Meanwhile, Saigon Jewelry Company Limited set the price at 113.9 million VND/tael (buy) - 116.4 million VND/tael (sell), unchanged from before.
Yesterday, the price of gold decreased by 400,000 VND/tael, down to 120.5 million VND/tael.
