The filming experience reminded her of about half a century ago, when she and her colleagues from TVB's "Golden Night of Joy" program came to Vietnam for work. After filming, everyone wanted to go out for pho. The actors agreed to gather at the hotel gate and go out to eat. However, there was a curfew at the time, so the plan couldn't be carried out. La Lan said, "Luckily, the hotel staff stopped us, otherwise we would have caused trouble." Later, when she returned on vacation , she was able to enjoy the taste of local pho.
During filming, La Lan attracted the attention of diners at the restaurant. Many commented that she was lively and had a cheerful face at nearly 90 years old.
La Lan has been in the film industry for 63 years, appearing in over 300 film and television productions. She played Qiu Qianchi in two versions of The Condor Heroes starring Andy Lau and Louis Koo. She also appeared in The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl , The Vast Sky , and Reincarnation ...
