The Hanoi Bar Association signed many cooperation programs to assist overseas Vietnamese and strengthen legal relations with law associations of many countries.
It is an important forum for sharing ideas, building professional networks, strengthening professional values and enhancing the status of the legal profession in Asia -Pacific .
The conference is expected to be attended by about 500 domestic and international delegates, representing leaders from bar associations, law practice organizations, judicial agencies, and law universities of countries in the Asia- Pacific region and around the world.
The above information was given at a press conference organized by the Vietnam Bar Federation on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of Lawyers' Tradition Day (October 10, 1945 - October 10, 2025).
Lawyer Do Ngoc Thinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Bar Federation, said the 80th anniversary of Lawyers' Tradition Day is a very important event and a milestone marking the formation and development of the Vietnamese lawyer team.
Over 80 years of formation and development, the team of lawyers has always been aware of its responsibility and obligation in contributing to building a rule of law state and judicial reform.
The Vietnamese lawyer team has made remarkable progress in both quantity and quality, with more than 20,000 member lawyers, operating in more than 6,000 law firms operating in most areas of legal and judicial life.
Mr. Do Ngoc Thinh emphasized that lawyers are increasingly making positive and practical contributions to the cause of building and defending the country; deeply integrating internationally as members of the Law Association of Asia-Pacific (LAWASIA), members of the International Bar Association (IBA), and having cooperative relations with many international bar organizations.
The President of the Vietnam Bar Federation said that the 38th Annual Conference of the Asia-Pacific Law Association is the most prominent event of the year of LAWASIA, held once a year in one of the member countries to create connections between ideas, innovations, updates on operating trends, development and experience exchange.
Bar associations, bar and bar association organisations, and members of LAWASIA in the Asia-Pacific region will discuss developments in law and the legal profession in the region.
Delegates have the opportunity to meet and exchange with colleagues from many countries and share professional experiences, contributing to promoting peace and common prosperity in the region.
Investors and businesses can learn about legal policies, investment and business opportunities, thereby contributing to attracting foreign investment and international tourists to the host country.
This is considered a useful forum for Vietnamese and foreign lawyers to exchange and share professional experiences, economic development issues, building a rule-of-law state, digital transformation... that are of interest to all parties.
The conference is also an opportunity to promote the country and people of Vietnam; to inform lawyers and scholars about the law, the judiciary and policies and guidelines on opening up, socio-economic development and international integration of Vietnam. This will open up potential cooperation opportunities between Vietnamese and foreign lawyers and businesses.
