Nearly 600 delegates attended the 38th annual conference of LAWASIA

The 38th Annual Conference of the Law Association of Asia and the Pacific (LAWASIA) will officially take place in Hanoi on October 11.

On October 6, the Vietnam Bar Federation held a press conference to inform about some key contents of the 38th Annual Conference of LAWASIA, scheduled to take place from October 11 to 13 in Hanoi .

Lawyer Do Ngoc Thinh - President of Vietnam Bar Federation - informed about some contents of the annual conference of LAWASIA to be held in Hanoi soon.

At the press conference, Lawyer Do Ngoc Thinh - Chairman of the Vietnam Bar Federation - said that the annual LAWASIA Conference is held annually in one of the member countries, aiming to create connections between ideas, promote innovation, update operating trends, develop and exchange professional experiences in the region.

The conference is a forum bringing together leaders of bar associations, law practice organizations and member lawyers of LAWASIA in the Asia- Pacific region to discuss the development of law and the legal profession.

This is also an opportunity for delegates to meet and exchange with international colleagues, share professional experiences, and contribute to promoting peace and common prosperity in the region.

“There are 590 domestic and international delegates attending the conference. Of which, the Vietnamese delegation has about 150 lawyers; the remaining 440 international delegates are leaders of bar associations, law practice organizations, judicial agencies, law universities of many countries in the Asia-Pacific region and around the world,” said the President of the Vietnam Bar Federation.

According to him, the organization of the 38th LAWASIA Annual Conference in Hanoi is an opportunity to promote the image of Vietnam and its people, and at the same time introduce to international lawyers and scholars the legal system, the judiciary, as well as Vietnam's open-door policies, socio-economic development and international integration.

This event is expected to open up many potential cooperation opportunities between Vietnamese lawyers and businesses with international partners.

With the theme “Connecting - Sharing - Sustainable Legal Development in the Asia-Pacific Region”, the Conference will focus on discussing many urgent legal issues such as: regional legal cooperation in the context of globalization; rule of law and judicial reform; international arbitration and dispute resolution; the role of lawyers in promoting sustainable development...
