After 2 weeks of eating grapes every day, this "strange thing" happened

According to an article published in Scientific Reports, a study led by Professor John M. Pezzuto from the School of Medical Sciences and Pharmacy at Western New England University (USA) showed that eating grapes surprisingly improved the intestinal microflora.

As many other studies have demonstrated, the microflora in our stomach is not only related to digestive health but also affects all other organ systems, especially closely related to the brain as well as strongly affecting metabolism and circulation.

Therefore, a healthy gut microbiota is the most plausible mechanistic explanation for the miraculous effects of eating grapes on many diseases.

To reach this conclusion, a trial was conducted on 41 healthy volunteers, aged 20 to 55. They underwent 2 weeks of a healthy diet to improve their health, then another 2 weeks of maintaining their diet while eating 3 servings of grapes per day.

Instead of eating grapes directly, the volunteers were given a grape powder substitute to ensure consistency in the data. They then stopped eating grapes for a month so the researchers could examine the long-term effects of the two “healthy” weeks of grape consumption.

Volunteers had plasma, urine and stool samples collected during all three phases – on days 15, 30 and 60 of the study.

The results showed that some gut bacteria such as Holdemania decreased, while others increased in number such as Streptococcus thermophiles, Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus, according to Medical News Today.

Even after 30 days of stopping grape consumption, changes in the microbiota and gut enzymes remained relatively stable.

These changes caused by eating grapes are good, because the beneficial bacteria increase in number, while the harmful ones decrease. These changes help increase the body's anti-inflammatory ability, which in turn has a positive effect on metabolism, cardiovascular health, cancer prevention and dementia.

In addition, other things in grapes such as fiber and polyphenols also bring countless other good effects, from weight loss to increased circulation and metabolism, also helping to prevent the above diseases.
