Will enforce if illegally built restaurant in Ha Long does not self-demolish

Today (October 25), a representative of the Ha Long City People's Committee said that the local government has reviewed the current status of the restaurant area where it arbitrarily built a pier to Ha Long Bay. At the same time, it has inspected the violations of the entire restaurant.

Accordingly, the current status of the land is a restaurant and a road leading to the sea that was illegally built since 2018. The construction unit is Honest Ha Long Joint Stock Company.

With these violations, the People's Committee of Ha Long City requested the People's Committee of Bai Chay Ward to preside over and coordinate with the Urban Management Department, the Urban Order and Environment Inspection Team and related units to continue urging Honest Ha Long Joint Stock Company to promptly comply with the decision to sanction administrative violations.

Specifically, self-demolish illegal constructions and excavate and clean up all construction waste to ensure environmental sanitation.

In case Honest Ha Long Joint Stock Company does not comply, the dossier will be completed to enforce the demolition of the violating construction according to regulations. The enforcement period will be from October 30 and completed in November 2023.

Currently, Honest Ha Long Joint Stock Company has completed the dismantling of the entire road surface and iron frame on Ha Long Bay on October 16, 2023. The restaurant project has not been dismantled yet.

Ha Long City People's Committee provided more information about the violation handling process. Previously, on December 3, 2018, Bai Chay Ward People's Committee chaired and coordinated with the Ha Long City Urban Order and Environment Inspection Team to conduct an inspection and draw up a record of administrative violations against Honest Ha Long Joint Stock Company at Lot N13, Area C, Cai Dam New Urban Area, Bai Chay Ward.

On December 7, 2018, the People's Committee of Ha Long City issued a decision on administrative sanctions against Honest Ha Long Joint Stock Company. The fine is 40 million VND.

Previously, VietNamNet reported on a restaurant in Cai Dam urban area, Bai Chay Ward illegally building a pier on Ha Long Bay.

This restaurant is quite large, illegally built, blocking the view of Ha Long Bay. The restaurant is divided into many areas to welcome guests, there is a hut area on the sea to serve guests. The restaurant even arbitrarily built a wooden pier extending out to Ha Long Bay, forcing passing ships to avoid it, which is very unsafe.
