"I find that usually, the last one or two ideas of the last problem in the 10th grade math exam are always the most difficult, to classify students. Before the exam, I studied day and night, but the last few nights I went to bed early to review some types of problems and formulas," candidate AK added.
Tran Dang D.K, a 9th grader at Ly Thanh Tong Secondary School, District 8, has his first choice at Bui Thi Xuan High School, District 1. He predicts that he will get about 8.5 points in English and about 7 points in Literature. Math is the subject that D.K feels most confident about. However, in the past few days, to be "more sure", in D.K's extra class schedule, he has had to add some math review sessions to his exam schedule so that he can feel confident.

"The night before the math exam, I carefully reviewed some key parts that I thought would be in the 10th grade math exam. That was the foundation I thought was necessary to do the exam," the candidate said. At the same time, this candidate said that his personal experience to stay calm for exams, not just math, was... occasionally playing games to relieve stress, and cycling to clear his mind.
"My parents said that if I pass my first choice, I will get a reward, but they haven't said what the reward will be. I just think about being able to relax and have fun this summer and I feel very excited," the male candidate said.
Meanwhile, not all candidates are stressed before taking the math exam - the last subject in the 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City.
Candidate Kien H., a student at Tran Danh Ninh Secondary School, District 8, who placed his first choice at Ta Quang Buu High School, said he is an extrovert and thinks positively about everything. Literature and English have gone smoothly, now he only needs to pass math. The night before the exam, he reviewed some types of questions that he thought would be on the exam, went to bed early to wake up early, and went to the exam hall. "My mother promised that if I passed my first choice, she would change my phone. Thinking about that, I felt motivated, happy, and in a good mood for the exam," this candidate shared.
