Signing of regulations on coordination in forest management, protection and development

(GLO)- On the afternoon of September 30, the Ia Grai Regional Forest Protection Department (Gia Lai province) organized the signing of coordination regulations in forest management, protection, development and handling of forestry law violations with the People's Committees of 5 communes: Ia Grai, Ia Hrung, Ia Krai, Ia O and Ia Chia.

The content of the coordination regulations focuses on implementing forest allocation, forest leasing, forest type conversion, forest use conversion to other purposes and forest recovery.

Along with that is the work of forest investigation, inventory, monitoring of forest developments, boundary demarcation and building of forest database; guiding forest owners who are households, individuals, communities or groups of households, voluntary cooperatives to develop sustainable forest management plans.

At the same time, coordinate in forest protection, forest fire prevention and fighting, and forest development; especially coordinate in patrolling, inspecting, raiding, and handling violations of forestry laws.

The signing of the coordination regulations between the Ia Grai Regional Forest Protection Department and the People's Committees of 5 communes is considered one of the solutions to promote the role and responsibility of agencies and units in forest management, protection and development; promptly prevent acts of encroachment on forest resources. Thereby, contributing to good management of forest areas in the area, limiting the occurrence of hot spots of encroachment on forest resources.
