Last October, Qualcomm launched the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, boasting impressive performance and efficiency improvements over its predecessor, but also a significantly higher price tag.
Recently, a leak revealed that the successor chipset to the Snapdragon 8 Elite will be even more expensive.

According to information from the South Korean publication KiPost, Qualcomm may increase the price of the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 in 2025. The Snapdragon 8 Elite chip was released at the end of October with a price increase of approximately 20-30% compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.
This leak may be credible because, according to Gizmochina, Qualcomm decided to increase the price of the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip because the company expects to improve SoC performance by 20% compared to the previous generation.
There isn't much information available about the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip yet. However, Qualcomm may also switch to TSMC for its N3P process—the latest 3nm process, which delivers performance increases of 20% or more.
