Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training regulates school hours for primary school students in the area.

(CPV) - The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City has just issued a document guiding primary schools in organizing activities at the beginning of the new school year 2023-2024. Accordingly, the Department stipulates that the first morning class for primary school students in the area is from 7:30 a.m. and no later than 7:45 a.m.

Depending on actual conditions, primary school principals develop school education plans and organize early school year activities for students.

In particular, the school fully introduces regulations on testing, evaluating learning and training results, and internal rules to students and parents at the beginning of the school year.

Regarding students' study time, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training requires principals to proactively arrange school plans, build flexible and suitable timetables, and implement 7 periods per day according to the main curriculum, not requiring 4 periods in the morning and 3 periods in the afternoon. In addition to 7 main curriculum periods per day, schools can develop school programs and plans to organize other activities depending on the needs and abilities of students.

After school each day, the school may plan after-school clubs for students until they are picked up. These plans must be approved by the appropriate authority before being implemented.

For classes with 2 sessions/day, the first period in the morning starts from 7:30 a.m. onwards and no later than 7:45 a.m. The first period in the afternoon starts no earlier than 2:00 p.m.

For one-session/day classes, the first period in the morning starts from 7:15 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., the first period in the afternoon starts from 12:45 p.m. to 1 p.m., and the recess time of each session (including physical exercise) is not less than 30 minutes./.
