Department of Science and Technology launched a program to support the Cuban people

The ceremony was attended by comrade Bui Thanh Toan - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee - Party Secretary - Director of the Department of Science and Technology, along with comrades in the Department's Board of Directors, leaders of departments, affiliated units and all civil servants, public employees and workers in the entire Department.

The program was organized in response to the Open Letter to support the Cuban people launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak province on August 19, 2025. This is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the spirit of international solidarity, affection and sharing of the Vietnamese people in general, as well as of the Party committees, authorities and people of Dak Lak province in particular, towards Cuba - a loyal and steadfast friend of Vietnam.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Bui Thanh Toan - Member of the Provincial Standing Committee - Secretary of the Party Committee - Director of the Department of Science and Technology emphasized: The launch of the program not only has profound humanitarian significance but also contributes to strongly spreading the message "Vietnam - Cuba: Forever side by side in challenges - Sharing in hardships" and "Always have Vietnam". Every contribution, no matter how small, is a noble gesture, contributing to adding spiritual strength to the Cuban people in the context of many difficulties.

The program calls on all civil servants, public employees, and employees of the Department to actively respond and join hands to contribute support. Departments and units will assign focal points to receive contributions, then summarize and send them to the Department Office via bank transfer or direct payment. The time to receive support is from August 29 to September 15, 2025.

It is known that 2025 marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba. Through many historical periods, despite being half a world apart, the two peoples have always stood side by side in the struggle for national independence and national construction. This special relationship was founded by great men such as José Martí, President Ho Chi Minh and Leader Fidel Castro, and has been nurtured by generations of leaders and people of the two countries over time. Through this program, the Department of Science and Technology wishes to contribute to spreading the image of a loyal and devoted Vietnam, ready to share in difficulties, continuing to consolidate and promote the traditional friendship between the two countries of Vietnam and Cuba.
