This is the first time a pure electric car model of the Suzuki brand has been brought to Vietnam. Currently, information surrounding the plan to launch the all-new electric SUV Suzuki eVitara has not been announced. It is not excluded that this model is only brought for display purposes. The Suzuki eVitara is a model in the B-segment SUV segment with dimensions of 4,275 x 1,800 x 1,635 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. The car uses the name of the famous Suzuki SUV line in the past but has almost nothing in common with the Grand Vitara. Instead, this is the finished product of the eVX concept (2023) using the Heartect-e frame platform dedicated to electric vehicles.
As a pure electric vehicle, the Suzuki eVitara does not have a conventional grille, only air vents in the lower bumper to cool the battery and operating components. The rims appearing in Vietnam are designed to be closed to optimize aerodynamics. The rear door handles are hidden in the C-pillar, making the body more seamless and minimalist. The rear of the car has LED taillights that connect to both sides. The cockpit of the pure electric SUV is quite modern, with contrasting colors. The seats are made of leather and felt. The car is equipped with a flat-bottomed 2-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel. Behind the steering wheel is a reasonably designed dual-screen cluster. In the center of the dashboard is the physical control cluster for the air conditioning system. The volume knob is located next to it. The center console has a knob-shaped electronic gear lever, an electronic handbrake, and an Auto Hold button...
In addition, the Suzuki e Vitara also has other outstanding features such as ventilated seat brakes, 10-way power driver's seat, 60:40 folding and reclining rear seats, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, 1-zone automatic air conditioning, wireless phone charger, electronic handbrake with automatic temporary brake hold feature. The Suzuki e Vitara version on display in Vietnam is equipped with an electric motor that produces a maximum capacity of 171.7 horsepower and a maximum torque of 193 Nm. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.7 seconds. The Suzuki e Vitara uses a 61.1 kWh battery pack, providing a maximum range of 428 km after each full charge, according to the WLTP cycle. With a 150 kW DC fast charger, the car can increase the battery capacity from 15% to 70% within 30 minutes.
The car's safety equipment includes 7 airbags, 360-degree camera, tire pressure warning, and advanced ADAS driver assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot warning, rear cross traffic warning, and lane keeping assist. Suzuki currently has no plans to distribute the e Vitara in the Vietnamese market. The first Southeast Asian markets to receive this electric SUV will be Thailand and Indonesia in early 2026.
