Despite being heavily impacted by Typhoon Yagi, Quang Ninh's tourism sector quickly recovered, reorganized tourism activities, actively promoted and developed new products and tours, and connected visitors to Quang Ninh.
Quang Ninh's tourism industry has just experienced the severe impact of Typhoon No. 3 (Typhoon Yagi). According to general assessments, tourism businesses have both recovered from the storm's aftermath and resumed normal operations, while also preparing to welcome tourists. Therefore, there has been almost no disruption to tourism activities.

To attract tourists, promotional activities and demand stimulation are the ways tourism businesses are restarting, increasing attractiveness, and overcoming difficulties. “To restart tourism and create momentum for revival, businesses are also focusing on promotion, cooperation, and attracting tourists. The Association also encourages and mobilizes the combined strength of businesses to participate in connecting with tourist sources, creating products, exchanging information, and attracting tourists from potential markets,” shared Mr. Nguyen The Hue, Chairman of the Quang Ninh Tourism Association.
The end of the year is a low season, but it's also an opportunity to organize many activities to connect, introduce, and promote the renewal of tourism products through promotional activities with other regions. Most notably, there's a plan to promote and connect tourism with 13 provinces in the Mekong Delta, supporting each other in introducing destinations and exchanging tourists.
A major advantage is that the 13 provinces and cities are linked and operate within a common association: the Mekong Delta Tourism Association, comprising 13 provinces, 13 Departments of Tourism, and the business community of the 13 provinces. Currently, the Quang Ninh Tourism Association plays a key connecting role, actively implementing and hoping to connect tourism tours. This activity will not only bring in tourists but also lead to tourism cooperation, specifically the development and exploitation of Van Don Airport, the formation of flight routes such as Ha Long-Can Tho, and the promotion of attracting tourists through the airport.
Practical and effective, Quang Ninh's tourism sector also targets nearby markets, promoting its familiar customer base. This involves actively connecting with 11 provinces in the Red River Delta. Many of these provinces are strong in tourism and regularly exchange tourists, creating routes such as Quang Ninh with Hai Phong - Hai Duong - Ninh Binh - Hanoi - Vinh Phuc…, with these provinces consistently bringing large numbers of tourists to Quang Ninh.

The end of the year is also a time when Quang Ninh organizes and welcomes many famtrip groups for surveys. To increase its appeal and anticipate these events, the province's tourism sector also receives attention and support from large corporations and businesses. From now until the end of 2024, there will be many annual promotional programs targeting large, tourist-populated markets, such as: the International Tourism Fair in Da Nang and Can Tho (December 2024), the Vietnam-China Trade and Tourism Fair... In addition, Quang Ninh also has many attractive destinations during the autumn and winter seasons, meeting the diverse needs of tourists.
