Speaking at the event, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Young Pioneers and Children Newspaper Do Thi Thanh Binh emphasized: “From a sports playground 18 years ago with only 8 participating teams, up to now, the Hanoi Primary School Basketball Tournament has created great prestige in the school system. Over the past 18 years, the Young Pioneers and Children Newspaper has successfully accompanied students to express their passion for sports. The tournament also helps to popularize basketball in schools. In 2024, the number of participating teams will increase to 154 teams.”

In preparation for the 19th Hanoi Primary School Basketball Tournament - Nestle Milo Cup 2025, the Organizing Committee has provided professional training to coaches representing each team. The Organizing Committee provided the coaches with information on competition regulations, player registration regulations, uniforms, scoring methods, rewards, complaints, etc.

According to the plan, the qualifying round will be held on November 1, 2, 8, 9 at 4 schools: Ngo Quyen Primary School, Newton Goldmark Primary School, Dich Vong B Primary School and Archimedes Academy Primary School. The final round will take place on November 22 and 23 with the participation of 16 male teams and 16 female teams.

The tournament is expected to attract more than 100 primary schools in Hanoi with nearly 150 boys' and girls' basketball teams registered to participate.

According to the plan, the press conference and draw for the competition schedule will take place on October 23, 2025. The qualifying round will be held on November 1, 2, 8 and 9, 2025 at 4 schools: Ngo Quyen Primary School, Newton Goldmark Primary School, Dich Vong B Primary School and Archimedes Academy Primary School.

At the end of the qualifying round, the Organizing Committee will select 16 male teams (including 15 excellent teams and 1 special team) and 16 female teams (including 15 excellent teams and 1 special team) to enter the Final Round taking place on November 22 and 23, 2025 at I-Sac Newton Primary School.
