The “Vivaldi & Beethoven” concert is conducted by Conductor Honna Tetsuji.

The music night brought together leading Vietnamese and international artists: People's Artist Bui Cong Duy - Vietnam's leading violinist with a refined and world-class playing style; Professor Chuong Vu - an international violinist, praised by Yehudi Wyner for his refined and poetic performance style; young violinist Do Phuong Nhi with a technical yet emotional performance style.

Besides, there is cellist Denis Shapovalov who won the First Prize and Gold Medal at the “11th International Tchaikovsky Music Competition” at the age of 23, and became the youngest lecturer at the Moscow Conservatory at the age of 26; pianist Luong Khanh Nhi - with a deep and powerful voice.

In particular, the Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra, a group of talented artists, brought a strong and attractive energy to the stage. The concert also featured Meritorious Artist Dao Mai Anh in the role of Concertmistress in the second half of the program.

The concert “Vivaldi & Beethoven” opens with the masterpiece The Four Seasons (Le quattro stagioni) - a set of four immortal concertos for solo violin and string orchestra, one of Antonio Vivaldi's greatest works.

In Vivaldi's Four Seasons, the violin is the soul, leading the orchestra to paint a vivid picture of nature. Two violinists, Do Phuong Nhi and Chuong Vu, together took the audience through Spring - Summer - Autumn - Winter with a delicate and expressive musical language. The combination of skillful technique and deep emotions clearly depicted the beauty of the four seasons, leaving an unforgettable echo in the hearts of listeners.

If Vivaldi's music opens a colorful picture of nature, the next chapter takes the audience to the depth of Ludwig van Beethoven's musical philosophy. The Concerto for Three Strings in C major, Op. 56 is considered one of the most demanding works in terms of technique and dialogue between soloist and orchestra.

On the stage of the Hoan Kiem Theater, three artists from three generations: People's Artist Bui Cong Duy (violin), Denis Shapovalov (cello) and Luong Khanh Nhi (piano) together with the orchestra created a performance that touched the depths of consciousness. The sublimation of the three artists and the orchestra revived Beethoven's spirit in a modern space, where art breaks all barriers and is a common language connecting kindred souls. When the final melodies sounded, the entire audience fell silent, before bursting into long applause.

“It’s autumn in Hanoi but you can feel the beauty of all four seasons. Beethoven’s three-string concerto is also very impressive. An interesting performance helps listeners keep wonderful moments in their souls,” said Ms. Nguyen Tra My, an audience member at Ho Guom Theater.
