The S-Race Ca Mau 2026 Festival was a vibrant event.

On the morning of May 16th, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Training and Vietnam Television, organized the launching ceremony and the S-Race 2026 student race, which was broadcast live on VTV2. In response to the event, 15 locations in communes and wards throughout the province simultaneously organized vibrant running events, attracting a large number of students, teachers, parents, and residents.

• Over 4,200 people participated in “S-Race 2026” at the launch ceremony.

* At the main venue, Phan Ngoc Hien Square (An Xuyen Ward), attending the launching ceremony were Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh, Deputy Minister of Education and Training ; Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Ca Mau Province; Mr. Huynh Quoc Viet, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with many other provincial and departmental leaders.

With the message "For a healthy Vietnam - For the stature of Vietnam," S-Race Ca Mau 2026 attracted more than 12,000 participants, including 4,200 students, teachers, and parents at the launch point in Phan Ngoc Hien Square and 8,200 athletes at 15 participating locations throughout the province.

The race includes events for primary, secondary, and high school students with distances ranging from 1 km to 3 km, and a total prize value of 142 million VND.

Besides the competition, the program also includes S-Race Family and S-Race School activities, along with many exciting school sports experiences, attracting the participation of parents, teachers, and students.

S-Race Ca Mau is the opening leg of S-Race 2026 and the first activity following the signing of a cooperation agreement to organize school sports communication activities for the period 2026-2030 between the Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam Television, and Unic Group. The program aims to spread the habit of practicing sports, build a positive lifestyle, and strengthen community bonds.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh presented a token of appreciation to the co-organizing unit of the tournament. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Luan (on the left) received the token on behalf of the Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh affirmed that the holistic development of human beings is a consistent goal of the Party and the State; in which, physical education plays an important role in shaping the personality, will, and positive lifestyle of the younger generation.

"S-Race 2026 continues to be strongly implemented in 34 provinces and cities nationwide, affirming its position as the first school sports event in Vietnam to achieve a World Record," said the Deputy Minister of Education and Training.

Leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training and leaders of Ca Mau province performed the ceremony of pressing the button to officially launch the S-Race 2026 student running event.

According to Nguyen Minh Luan, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Ca Mau province has always paid attention to developing physical education, building a healthy school environment, and creating conditions for students to develop comprehensively. Through S-Race 2026, the province hopes to strongly spread the movement of physical training and sports among students, teachers, and the community.

Leaders of Ca Mau province, along with delegates, participated in a run to promote the spirit of school sports and an active lifestyle among the younger generation.

The vibrant atmosphere at the S-Race race in Ca Mau conveyed the message "For a healthy Vietnam - For the stature of Vietnam".

A large number of officials, civil servants, teachers, parents, and over 550 primary and secondary school students in Bac Lieu ward attended.

In Phuoc Long commune, attending the ceremony to respond to the S-Race 2026 student race were Comrade Phan Thanh Duy, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department, and Comrade Bui Tan Bay, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

At Yen Mo Street, Phuoc Long Commune People's Committee, more than 500 athletes participated in the S-Race 2026 race, contributing to spreading the sports training movement in the community.
