There were 15 teams from communes and towns in the district participating in the competition. Each team had 1 male and 1 female wearing traditional ethnic costumes, picking mangoes with poles and by hand.
During the 15 minutes, the teams skillfully used climbing and pole-picking techniques to get the most fruit. Members were not allowed to climb, shake the tree, break branches, or hit the fruit, which could damage the tree and the quality of the fruit.
This is a very exciting and dramatic competition, attracting a large number of tourists to watch and cheer.
The mango picking competition not only helps teams learn and exchange experiences, but is also an opportunity to honor farmers who grow and care for mangoes and attract the participation of a large number of people and tourists from all over the world, contributing to promoting Yen Chau round mango products.
