According to the rules, each team must wrap a minimum of 4 sticky rice cakes with two traditional fillings: meat (or fat) and banana, with a diameter of 7 cm and a length of 30 cm.
The competing teams prepare the ingredients for wrapping the cakes.
Prior to the competition, the teams proactively prepared and pre-processed the ingredients such as sticky rice, fillings, wrapping leaves, and string, creating favorable conditions for the performance to take place quickly within 60 minutes.
Besides showcasing their nimble and aesthetically pleasing pastry-wrapping skills, the teams also focused on maintaining hygiene in the competition area, ensuring a clean and tidy space.

After the demonstration round, the teams brought their boiled rice cakes. By 4 PM this afternoon, all the cooked rice cakes will be displayed at their booths for the judges to continue scoring the cooking competition. The judges will continue to evaluate based on the appearance of the rice cakes and the distinctive flavor of the banh tet.

The demonstration of wrapping banh tet (Vietnamese sticky rice cake) attracted a large crowd of locals and tourists who came to watch, cheer, and admire the beautifully decorated banh tet. This was not only a competition but also an opportunity to preserve and promote the traditional culinary cultural values of the Southern region of Vietnam.
The Traditional Cake Festival is an opportunity for artisans to promote the value of traditional cakes and gradually expand the market for local traditional cakes.
