Some households in Dong Ri residential group heard a loud noise behind their house. Seeing the unusual incident, the residents quickly reported it to the local authorities. When the inspection force discovered a crack from the ground up from 10-40m high, a crack 150m long, about 0.6m wide, 0.8m deep. The crack was at risk of landslides, causing insecurity for 5 households.
After the inspection, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Nguyen Van Tuyen, directed the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the People's Committee of Tay Yen Tu town to mobilize forces to help people move valuable assets and arrange temporary accommodation for families. Families are requested to absolutely not return to their homes until they are safe.

According to initial assessment, the landslide area has steep terrain, alluvial geology, with high mountains above, at risk of landslides and subsidence when heavy rains last for a long time. In January 2025, the Provincial People's Committee announced an emergency situation regarding natural disasters and landslides in Tuan Dao commune. However, due to the lack of stable housing, households still live in this area, which is potentially dangerous, especially when heavy rains and floods in mountainous areas often appear unexpectedly.
After grasping the situation, he requested the specialized agencies to urgently develop plans to evacuate households in areas at risk of landslides before the rainy and stormy season. Establish a hotline between the commune and people in landslide areas, and prepare temporary accommodation for requisition in case of emergencies.
