Son La arrested 2 subjects for illegal drug trafficking

On the afternoon of July 9, information from the Border Guard Command of Son La province said that the unit had just coordinated with functional forces to arrest 2 subjects for illegal drug trafficking.

Previously, at 11:30 a.m. on July 8, at 3/2 Square, Residential Group 9, Song Ma Commune, Son La Province, the Northern Drug and Crime Prevention and Control Task Force, the Drug and Crime Prevention and Control Department chaired and coordinated with the Professional Department, the Son La Provincial Border Guard and functional forces to arrest two subjects for illegal drug trafficking.

The arrested subjects are Luong Van Ngoan, born in 1980 and Tong Thi Mang, born in 1983, both residing in Dom village, Pung Banh commune, Son La province. The seized evidence includes 1 heroin cake, 1 motorbike, 2 mobile phones.

2 guns and 16 bullets were seized by the authorities after expanding the investigation.

Expanding the investigation, the authorities seized 1 more gun (suspected to be a military gun), 16 bullets and 1 flintlock gun from a number of subjects related to the case.

The case is being investigated by the Northern Drug and Crime Prevention Task Force and other forces under their authority.
