The book "Living Minimally in the Zen Style" offers a unique perspective on meditation and mindfulness practice. The author points out that many of the lifestyle habits of Japanese people today largely originate from Zen.

From drinking tea to stay awake, taking a steam bath to focus, neatly placing shoes by the door, using a single mat to sleep on, built-in wardrobes to optimize space, to habits like pickling vegetables, painting ink wash paintings, practicing swordsmanship, and writing Haiku poetry, all subtly reflect the spirit of self-cultivation and introspection.

However, the author does not intend to persuade anyone to become a monk; he wants people to understand the essence of the joy and benefits of meditation so that they can apply it to their lives: letting go of material possessions and the desire to own things, not buying unnecessary items, learning to befriend money and deal with greed, learning to sit upright to regulate their minds, living independently but not alone, making friends when necessary, and striving every day to wait for what is called "the opportune time."

"Living Minimally in the Zen Style " is a truly meaningful "self-help" book that empowers individuals to shift their perspective on happiness and peace, and to gradually refine themselves in tranquility. The book is published by Van Lang Books.
